Malachite is an opaque stone with bands in varying shades of green.
The green is derived from the copper content in the stone's composition. Malachite often grows in a cone stalagmite habit or in
grape-like or Botryoidal crystal habit.
Malachite is believed to contain a steady pulsing of electromagnetic energy, which can stimulate physical and psychic vision and concentration. It is also believed to ease negative energy and release positive energy.
Treatments
Malachite may go through hardening treatment. An artificial resin is added to the surface of the stone, to prevent scratching and dulling.
Caring
Avoid chemicals at all costs.
Malachite is sensitive to heat, so never put in ultrasonic or steam cleaning.
