Most people refer quartz to colourless quartz, but in gemmology quartz is a group of mineral that share similar chemical composition or physical characteristics. Quartz is named after a Slavic word for "hard".
In gemmology quartz that has a transparent or clear appearance are referred as "colourless quartz" or "rock crystal"

Colourless quartz or rock crystal are free of inclusions and clean.
Caring
Quartz can be damaged by sharp blows and harsh chemicals.
Should not be clean with ultrasonic cleaners.
To clean, use mild dishwashing soap and water.
