Rose quartz is named after its pink colour. The colour of rose quartz can be ranging from pale pink to deep pink. The colouring agent is titanium and the colour can be fade over time. Most rose quartz are cloudy and translucent in appearance, but clear rose quartz can be find.
Inclusions
Rose quartz can be full of cracks and flaw and rutile needles inclusions.
Treatment
Rose quartz are rarely treated compared to citrine and amtheyst. Heat treatment may be used to improve the colour.
Caring
Rose quartz can permanently lose its colour if left in the sunlight
for too long.
Rose quartz can be damaged by sharp blows and harsh chemicals.
Should not be clean with ultrasonic cleaners.
To clean, use mild dishwashing soap and water.
